The relationship between the color and shape of the ornament and the structure of the knitted fabric

Authors

Color is one of the most powerful ways to influence human emotions. It has always been the main means of designing knitwear. The role of color is very important for a person’s well-being, which is why it is always involved, along with other means in the creation of ornamental compositions. A color acquires a certain artistic expressiveness when it interacts with other colors and creates a color system. The effect of spatial color mixing is often used in textile and knitwear patterns in which a pattern is created by intertwining threads or yarns of different colors. Due to its structure knitwear has a spatial structure that affects the perception of color. The paper presents the influence of the structure and composition of the yarn of the loops forming the knitted structure on the color of the product, but if the distance increases they are no longer visible and only the pattern of the ornament in the corresponding color is visible. When looking at the ornament depicted on the knitwear from a short distance individual threads and loops of different colors are visible.
