Development of a software training tool for teaching magnetic disk operation planning

Downloads
The article proposes a visualization model for planning the operations of magnetic disks. Based on it, a software tutorial has been developed, the use of which makes it easier for students to learn all five principles of planning work with magnetic disks. The student clearly sees on the screen the process of the magnetic head serving the paths, namely, at which moment in time the magnetic head serves which path. The student can change the number of requests and other parameters, as well as track the planning process and compare different strategies. In addition, marking the requirements with color enhances the effect of visual memory.
