DEVELOPMENT OF SUPPOSITORIES CONTAINING SEA BUCKTHORN OIL AND THYMOL

The study is devoted to the development and quality assessment of combined vaginal suppositories containing sea buckthorn oil and thymol with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect. The physical, chemical and technological properties of model samples prepared using three different bases (cocoa butter, polyethylene glycol of different molecular weights, Vitepsol W 35) have been studied, the suppository base has been selected on the basis of biopharmaceutical studies and the formulation has been determined. The total content of carotenoids is 1.0 - 1.25 mg / suppository (calculated on β-carotene). The identification of fatty acids has been carried out, among which triglycerides of oleic, palmitic and stearic acids are dominant.
