THE ORAL MANIFESTATION OFSYPHILITIC DISEASE (CASE REPORT)
Abstract
A 27-year-old man was admitted to the clinic with a soreon the side surface of his tongue. The anamnesis revealedthat for 4 months the patient had been treated in vain for thenumerous ulcerative lesions caused by the herpes simplexvirus on the penis.Syphilis infection of the oral cavity should be consid-ered even when: we do not have a complete symptom com-plex (lesions on the skin, genitals and oral cavity); Also evenwhen the serological reactions are negative because the re-sponse is positive only 3 weeks after the onset of the hardchancre.Downloads
