Abstract

In the conditions of modern globalization, intercultural communication faces serious challenges. This is a natural process because the linguistic and cultural background of any nation, based on its linguistic worldview, has a great influence on the process of verbal decoding and transfer of accumulated knowledge. This can only be achieved as a result of effectively overcoming communicative-cognitive barriers. Research on this issue is relevant for modern communicative linguistics because language is not only an effective means of transmitting information but also a system of cultural thinking. The paper discusses the role of Gestalt, the subject's Gestalt thinking, frame, and frame semantics in the process of intercultural communication. Attention is focused on the issues of effective information transfer and adequate decoding in the process of intercultural communication.
