The article analyzes the importance of communication as an important factor in the future well-being of a child in the development process. Many researchers and scientists emphasize the fundamental importance of emotional well-being in child development. Emotional well-being includes a number of abilities, including the ability to understand and regulate emotions, establish positive and meaningful relationships, and cope effectively with adversity. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the crucial role of emotional well-being and its impact on various aspects of child development, including cognitive, social, and academic development. The article discusses the importance of communication for a child's emotional well-being and, consequently, for a positive course of development. Communication is a basic human need and an integral part of social life. It is a process that continues as long as a person exists. In this context, the environment (parents, educational institutions) that care for children should promote their development by communicating with children in accordance with the stage of development. One of the easiest and most effective ways to communicate effectively with children is to know their developmental characteristics. Individuals need communication to learn about themselves and their environment. From this perspective, the article discusses the main characteristics of communication and the importance of effective communication for the well-being of the child. It aims to highlight the participation of the child as an individual in the communication process and preschool institutions as an important link in this process. The paper includes a review of various scientific literature and the results of an empirical study conducted in Tbilisi preschool institutions using a quantitative research method and involving 512 parents of young children.
