Abstract

The paper discusses various types of defects that occur in the process of knitting on a knitting machine, which can be avoided if we know the reasons given in the article. In particular, we studied the falling of the detail knitted almost to the end during the knitting process on the knitting machine, the falling off of the loops on the edge of the product, the high tension of the thread supplied to the needles, the insufficient tension of the knitted fabric, Incorrect selection of the density of knitting, accumulation of loops on the needle, its incorrect handling in the threading system, contamination of the eyes of the thread guide, sharp changes in the tension of the knitting thread during the knitting process, uneven stretching of the knitted fabric, the formation of a rarefied row, different depth of knitting, different knitting wedges on the knitting carriage, breaking loops caused by a sharp increase in thread tension, the presence of a knot in the thread, rough surface of the machine details, incorrect setting of the threader, breaking of the needle tongue or heel, Defects caused by difficult movement of needles in needle grooves and other reasons. We systematized the causes of these defects to obtain quality knitted products. Let's study ways to prevent and eliminate them.
