მოცემული სტატია აანალიზებს XXI საუკუნის მსოფლიო წესრიგის ტრანსფორმაციას აშშ-ის მიერ დომინირებული უნიპოლარული სისტემიდან უფრო კომპლექსურ, მრავალპოლარულ მოდელზე. ნაშრომში გაანალიზებულია ძირითადი გეოპოლიტიკური აქტორების − ამერიკის შეერთებული შტატების, ჩინეთისა და რუსეთის − როლი და სტრატეგიული მიზნები ამ პროცესში. აშშ წარმოდგენილია, როგორც ლიბერალური წესრიგის არქიტექტორი, რომელიც ცდილობს შეინარჩუნოს ჰეგემონია მზარდი კონკურენციისა და შიდაპოპულიზმის ფონზე. ჩინეთი განხილულია, როგორც უმნიშვნელოვანესი ეკონომიკური და ტექნოლოგიური ძალა, რომელიც „ერთი სარტყელი, ერთი გზის“ ინიციატივითა და სამხედრო მოდერნიზაციით აქტიურად აყალიბებს ალტერნატიულ გლობალურ გავლენებს. რუსეთი აღწერილია, როგორც რევიზიონისტული ძალა, რომელიც მულტიპოლარულობის ადვოკატირებითა და სამხედრო ინტერვენციებით (საქართველო, უკრაინა) ცდილობს დასავლური დომინირების შეზღუდვასა და საკუთარი გავლენის სფეროების აღდგენას. ცალკეული ყურადღება ეთმობა ჩრდილოატლანტიკური ხელშეკრულების ორაგნიზაციას („NATO“), როგორც კოლექტიური უსაფრთხოების გარანტის რეაქტივაციასა და მის წინაშე არსებულ გამოწვევებს, მათ შორის ალიანსის გაფართოების საკითხსა და რუსეთიდან მომდინარე ეგზისტენციალურ მრავალ საფრთხეს. სტატია ასკვნის, რომ თანამედროვე მსოფლიო წესრიგი ხასიათდება დიდი ძალების მეტოქეობით, ტექნოლოგიური რბოლით და საერთაშორისო ნორმების ევოლუციით.
