STATE OF ACCESS TO SAFE DRINKING WATER IN GEORGIA AND ITS PLACE IN THE WORLD AND REGIONAL RANKING

The state of access to safe drinking water of the population of Georgia and the prospects for its improvement were studied. According to the implementation of the drinking water policy, Georgia's place in the global and regional ranking. It was determined that according to the indicator assessment of the implementation of the environmental policy, Georgia moved from 111th place among 180 countries of the world in 2022 to 103rd place with 39.1 points. At the regional level, it takes the 6th place. The 10-year positive coefficient of change is 2.60. Regarding drinking water, it ranks 61st in the world ranking with 52.3 points and 1.6 positive coefficient of change, and 7th in the region. The number of people connected to water supply systems who have access to safe drinking water is increasing every year. The rate of provision of basic drinking water for all strata of the population is also high. By 2025, all cities of the country will have standard continuous water supply. In 2030 - all regions of the country.
