The present article is devoted to the linguistic and literary analysis of expressions and phraseological units related to Friday in English and Georgian languages. Days of the week are not only units of time in different cultures; They often have a symbolic load. Friday occupies a special place in both religious and cultural consciousness, which is reflected in language, folklore and literature. The aim of the research is to reveal the semantic, cultural and artistic features of expressions related to Friday.
