Based on the research conducted, the paper discusses the need to implement more effective theoretical and practical measures to combat genocide as an act that poses a particular danger to society, through the establishment of new regulations aimed at fostering a more politically aware and engaged society. In today’s world, where human rights are regarded as among the highest values, the relevance of this topic is especially clear, and, accordingly, an international mechanism for their protection has been developed. It is precisely within the process of international relations that special attention must be paid to a comprehensive understanding of genocide and the proper management of the political processes associated with it, as these often give rise to diverging perspectives. The argument developed in the paper will contribute to addressing the theoretical challenges related to the understanding and evaluation of genocide. I believe that the presented paper will also support the improvement of both theoretical and practical aspects concerning genocide and its specific manifestations, as well as the definition of the political dimension of genocide within the context of international relations.
