Abstract

This study documents crustal xenoliths hosted by basaltic lavas of the Tsalka Plateau, Lesser Caucasus, Georgia, including a quartz-rich xenolith that provides rare evidence for the presence of silica-rich continental crust beneath the plateau. Petrographic observations and whole-rock geochemical data reveal a diverse assemblage of crustal xenoliths, reflecting significant lithological heterogeneity within the underlying crust.
