“Samanishvili’s Stepmother” is a tragicomic story with distinct syndromes of the tragic and comic. It is from here that we have to come out to open the idea of the work. With a realistic depiction of the historical reality, DaviTKldiaShvili clearly showed us that the rise of industrial capitalism changed the social background of the country, intensified class contradictions, both in the city and in the countryside.
The realist writer portrayed with humor the tragedy and comedy of being a noble rank and showed us that there is no prospect of its moral or physical survival. This rank is doomed to perish.
While teaching “Samanishvili’s Stepmother” teacher must use all the strategices of studing and help the pupils to promote the development of independent thinking of students.
