Simulation-based learning is an important method in modern medical education that promotes the development of students’ clinical skills, critical thinking, and practical competencies. The aim of this article is to discuss the importance of simulation-based learning in respiratory system assessment and the administration of inhaled bronchodilators. Particular attention is given to the assessment of patients’ respiratory status, measurement of respiratory rate and oxygen saturation, lung auscultation, the role of spirometry, and the proper use of inhalation devices. Simulation scenarios enable students to develop clinical decision-making skills, perform procedures correctly, and respond promptly to changes in patients’ conditions within a safe and controlled environment. Repeated practice, instructor feedback, and the analysis of performed procedures contribute to deeper knowledge, fewer errors, and improved adherence to patient safety principles. The effectiveness of simulation-based learning can be assessed using practical skills checklists and Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs). Integrating simulation-based learning into medical education supports the development of students’ professional competencies and enhances the skills required for the effective management of patients with respiratory disorders.
