Abstract
The article discusses the necessary conditions for ensuring quality and reliability from the design stage of highways, including the period of operation, the implementation of which without proper selection and justification will definitely increase the number of road traffic accidents during traffic flows on the road. The article presents specific examples from the organizational period including the technical conditions causing damage to the roadway. The final part of the article presents approaches, the consideration of which will make it possible to increase the quality and reliability of roads as an engineering structure.
