ტერფის დეფორმაციები, გამოწვეული განივი ბრტყელი ტერფის არსებობით და საკუთრივ ტერფის პირველი თითის ვალგუსური დეფორმაცია, წარმოადგენს თანამედროვე ორთოპედიის ერთ-ერთ მნიშვნელოვან პრობლემას, ხოლო მისი დროული დიაგნოსტიკა და მკურნალობის სწორი მეთოდის შერჩევა იძენს არა მხოლოდ სამედიცინო, არამედ სოციალურ მნიშვნელობასაც. ნაშრომში განხილულია ტერფის პირველი თითის ვალგუსური დეფორმაციის გამო ნაოპერაციები 45 პაციენტის მკურნალობის შედეგები, რომელთაც ქირურგიული ჩარევა ჩაუტარდათ თსსუ-ის პირველი საუნივერსიტეტო კლინიკის ბაზაზე 2019-2022 წლებში. ნაშრომში შეფასებულია პაციენტების შერჩევის, დიაგნოსტირების და სხვადასხვა ოპერაციული ტექნიკის დადებითი და უარყოფითი მხარეები.
