Demographic Challenges

Abstract

The contemporary world is confronted with profound demographic challenges. While developed countries are experiencing a significant decline in birth rates, developing countries continue to face uncontrolled population growth. Georgia is among the states currently struggling with acute demographic issues. This article examines the underlying causes of these challenges in Georgia and explores possible solutions by drawing on the experience of several European countries, with particular emphasis on the Netherlands. The Dutch case provides a notable example of effective strategies for managing and addressing demographic pressures. Building on this model, the paper outlines policy recommendations for the Government of Georgia to help mitigate and respond to its demographic crisis.
