Sustainable management of freshwater groundwater resources in Georgia is a signifycant challenge due to the lack of long-term groundwater monitoring and a groundwater cadastre. Consequently, comprehensive data on changes in groundwater quantity and quality are unavailable. Addressing these challenges requires an integrated approach combining appropriate legal mechanisms with modern technologies.
