Artifacts related to the Roman Games from the Gonio-Apsaros Fortress

The Gonio-Apsaros fortress was one of the most important fortress for establishing Roman influence in the region. As a result of excavations carried out in different years within the fortress's territory, artifacts related to the Roman period itself (1st-3rd centuries AD), as well as the Byzantine (6th-7th centuries AD) and Ottoman (16th-19th centuries AD) periods have been discovered.
The presented article discusses a brief history of the origin of board games, Roman board games and similar artifacts discovered on the territory of the Gonio-Apsaros fortress.
