ალერგიული რინიტი ფართოდ გავრცელებული ქრონიკული ალერგიული დაავადებაა, რომლის გავრცელება პლანეტის მოსახლეობის 35-40%-ში ფიქსირდება, ხასიათდება სიხშირის მატების ტენდენციით, განსაკუთრებით ბავშვთა პოპულაციაში. შრომის მიზანია ბავშვთა პოპულაციაში ფსიქოემოციური პრობლემის შესწავლა სხვადასხვა სიმძიმით მიმდინარე ალერგიული რინიტით შეპყრობილ მოზარდებში.
კვლევამ მოიცვა 11-13 წლამდე ასაკის (გოგონა – 41, ვაჟი - 45) სხვადასხვა სიმძიმით მიმდინარე ალერგიული რინიტით დაავადებული 86 ბავშვი და ჯანმრთელი 30 ბავშვი. პაციენტის ფსიქოლოგიური პროფილის შესწავლის მიზნით გამოყენებულ იქნა გ. აიზენკის მიერ მოწოდებული პიროვნული კითხვარი (EPQ – Esenek Persohality Questionnaire), რომელიც განკუთვნილია ბავშვებსა და მოზარდთა (10-15 წელი) ქარაქტეროლოგიური და ინდივიდუალურ - ფსიქოლოგიური თავისებურებების შესაფასებლად. კვლევის შედეგების მიხედვით, ალერგიული რინიტისათვის დამახასიათებელია ემოციური ლაბილობა, შფოთვა, რაც ვლინდება არადამაკმაყოფილებელი ადაპატაციით, ხასიათის ლაბილობით, დეპრესიით, სტრესული სიტუაციებისადმი დაბალი გამძლეობით.
