Today, the number of homeless animals, especially street dogs, has significantly increased in Georgia. The number of domestic animals has also increased significantly. Statistical data in this direction are only at the level of conjecture. The pollution of the streets by both homeless animals and domestic animals with feces and the eggs of parasites present in them is also a big problem in the country, which is a serious threat to the spread of various infectious diseases in Georgia.
However, it is not pleasant in any other way to see the streets of the cities littered with animal feces and to consider this as a normal occurrence. Moreover, the ecological threats arising under the conditions of global warming require an in-depth analysis of the mentioned problems and timely adoption of certain decisions acceptance. In our opinion, first of all, it is necessary to register sick animals throughout Georgia and to treat them. It is also important to finance the construction of new kennels. It would also be good if more Georgian citizens manage to adopt homeless dogs from the street instead of expensive breed dogs and take care of them.
