The article is a complex interdisciplinary study that aims to analyze the transformation of cultural identity and emigartion discourse in short prose of the XX-XXI centuries. The object of the research is the short stories of three authors from defferent eras and cultural contexts – Niko Lortkipanidze, Juno Dias and Yang Choi. The work focuses on the phenomenon of “doubled chronotope” – an existetial situation when a character simultaneously exists in two conflicting cultural spaces and temporal dimensions. The research shows that the severity of emigration manifests itself as a multi-layered form of linguistic, socil and psychological alienation.
