The word „sound“ encompasses two concepts:1. Sound as a „physical phenomenon“ produced by the vibration of an elastic body, and 2. Sound as a „sensation“ that is perceived by the auditory organs. Sound perception is a complex psychophysiological process, it develops is parallel with the maturation of the childs nervous system.
Humans experience a variety of soumds. From birth, they are immersed in a diverse acoustic space, which is full of musical and non-musical sounds.
Musical art plays an important role in the harmonious development of a person. Georgian childrens music has a very rich repertoire and is distinguished by its genre siversity.
Music from the animated film „The Wedding of the Chkhikvta“ (composer Meri Davitashvili), it is distinguished by its cheerful, lively character and dance rhythms. To describe each bird in the film, the author uses their corresponding musical instruments, this helps children accurately perceive the nature of birds and the timbre of their voices. To describe the chirping, the author uses a slang term that accurately describes the chirping of the chirping bird. The calm and warm sound of the sparrow conveys the sparrows friendly nature. The swallows melody, which is played by the fanduri, refers to its swift flight. The low timbre of the horn indicates the wisdon of the owl. The composer uses the powerful sound of the drum to characterize the crow. To imitate the chirping of crickets, the composer uses the instrument flute.
In the Georgian childrens piano repertoire, we find many examples of musical and non-musical sounds. For example Sulkhan Nasidzes piano piece „Rain“. This piece introduces students to playing staccato, similar to string pizzicato, which accurately conveys the image of bouncing raindrops with forceps. Therefore, musical and non-musical sounds arouse significant interest in children. They learn about the variety of sounds and their timbre, helfs activate emotional and cognitive reactions, sensory development, emotional intelligence, increases the childs ability to adapt to the environment…
