For teaching Vazha Pshavela’s novel “Poplar”

Abstract

When teaching literary texts in 6^th grade, the teacher must take into account the experience of previous years, the knowledge and skills accumulated by thudents. They shoild be ble to understand why they should read a particular literary text, what they should pay attention to, what is the main idea of the novel, what role do the chararcters play in its development, the artistic techniwues used by the writer and lexical items.

This article analyzes the the guidelienes for teaching Vazha Pshavela’s novel “Poplar” in the 6^th grade.  The emphasis is on deep understanding of the content and strengthening existing habits, activating students’ thinking, reading comprehension and socialization.
