The use of idioms is very important in the process of learning and teaching English. English is especially rich in idioms. Native speakers use idioms very often. Idioms are frequently used in texts as well as in song lyrics and movies. In order for students to be fluent in English, it is important to know and use idioms. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the study of idioms in the teaching process. The research was also triggered by the fact that students try to translate idioms literally, which leads to their misunderstanding. The purpose of this article is to discuss the methods and tools that help students master and use idioms. One of the most successful and priority methods is to include films in the idiom teaching process. 25 students participated in the study. We conducted the research using four films. As a result of the research, students explored numerous idioms, thus also improving their listening and speaking skills.
