Medieval novel Visramiani (12th c.) is the prose translation of verse romance Vis o Rāmin by Persian poet Faḵr al-Din Asʿad Gorgāni. The first translation of Visramiani in a foreign language was made in English and it belongs to Oliver Wardrop (1864-1948). The article discusses the editions, composition, preface and reviews of O.Wardrop’s translation.
