The article discusses one of the components of the complex multi-level concept of clothing-headwear; it is confirmed that the nominees for headwear in the languages under consideration contain a variety of value information of mental, linguoculturological, ethnographic and historiographic nature. At the same time, national-specific features caused by differences between Russian and Georgian cultures are revealed.
