Positive Results of the Family and Community Participation Program, Taking into account gender Characteristics

Abstract

 

The article refers to a study conducted in accordance with one of the articles of the Early Childhood and Preschool Education Curriculum Standart – Family and Community Participation in the Educational Process – which was conducted in 2024, a year ago, on the topic: “The  study positive results of the family and community participation program considering gender specificity” is to demonstrate the needs that prevent families and communities from engaging in educational processes.  3 focus group discussions and 7 in-depth interviews were conducted. 25 respondents were involved in the qualitative research. Among them 21 were women and 4 were men.

According to respondents, family participation has a positive impact on children’s learning process and their psycho-emotional state. It was very gratifying for the children, when the activity “Dad reads us a fairy tale” was held within the framework of the week.

As for cooperation with the community, making full use of community resources opens up new opportunities for the kindergarden, showing new paths, both in terms of the development of its own organization and the  professional growth of its employees. And most importantly, all of this has a very important function in terms of using it for the benefit of children.

The article discusses the gender profile of challenges and needs in terms of family and community participation. The conclusions drawn from the research are presented.

The research findings, recommendations, and action steps presented in this article will enhance the contribution of families and communities to early childhood and preschool education, which will contribute to better child development.
