The paper represents the study of development of personal and social skills in students. We focus on promoting the development of such important skills as: communication, persuasion, managing emotions, solving problems, listening and respecting each other's opinion. Personally and socially well-developed children are actively involved in the learning process, form and express their own opinion in an argumentative manner and accordingly, achieve higher academic success. Tasks focused on developing creative skills contribute to personal development. When the child is not bound and is sure that his point of view is important and interesting for the teacher, he obviously thinks freely, innovatively, independently. One of the important issues that the teacher should pay attention to is the ability of the students to express their emotions and opinions. The freely students talk about their feelings, the better the climate in the classroom.
Relationships among peers play a vital role in the personal and social development of children and adolescents. As a result of research, it has been determined that students who regularly report on other people's thoughts, views and feelings are distinguished by good social skills, make friends easily, and have no difficulty establishing healthy communication. In order to promote the personal development of students, it is necessary to express their opinions often, to give freedom of choice, opportunity to search for new ways of solving problems.
The development of social skills requires a lot of effort. The school and the teacher can make a great contribution to their development and the development of the ability to use them consciously in life. To promote the development of social skills, it is necessary for the teacher to know his class well and to take into account the unique qualities, peculiarities and interests of the students when planning activities, it promotes the development of social skills developing the ability to make decisions independently or with a group.
Project-based learning, in addition to helping students develop cooperation and communication, helps them develop skills that will be useful throughout their lives. Working on a project allows students to show their abilities, think freely, creatively, acquire new knowledge, analyze, discuss, and draw conclusions.
The development of personal and social skills is facilitated by group work, which occupies an important place in project-based learning. Working on a project allows students to demonstrate their own abilities to think
Teaching freely and creatively with projects increases students' motivation, both individual and group responsibility.
