Nikuradze brothers from Kutaisi Classical Gymnasium

Abstract

Founded in ther XIXth century, Kutaisi Classical Gymnasium has graduated dozens of world-renowned scientists, artists, writers and politicans. Among them were scientists working in Germany, the brothers – Nikuradze.

Ivane Nikuradze – engineer-physicist, world-renowned hydraulic engineer, professor of the Munich Higher Technical School, one of whose  models is still used by the “Porsche” company.

Aleksabdre Nikuradze – physicist and political scientist, professor of Göttingen and Berlin Universities, recognazed nuclear physics specialist and founder of “Continental European research Institute”. He used his closeness to the ruling political elite of Germany to free dozens of Georgians and Georgian Jews from consentration camps, that’s why he is called “Georgian Schindler”.
