Abstract

Intercultural dialogue is more than just respect, tolerance. Dialogue is a risky endeavor that requires courage, self-confidence and patience. For a successful intercultural dialogue, it is also necessary to find a point of contact, that is, to manipulate and be interested in the issues that are common to these cultures. A necessary prerequisite for the dialogue of cultures is the flexibility of the parties, diplomacy, revision-reevaluation of the views of the positions taking into account the interests and, if necessary, even changing them. The development of cultures took place and takes place through dialogue and contacts. Considering each party's society, state, world community. Starting a dialogue is the first step forward. It is quite difficult to perceive yourself and then another, different from you, it is even more difficult to perceive that the different features of another person define your identity. Differences between people complement each other, and therefore, in order to discover oneself, it is necessary to know others. Cross-cultural experience presents us with many difficulties, brings fun into our lives and requires a creative approach from our side. Cross-cultural dialogues allow us to learn about other people's views and preserve our own "I". Georgian culture is not alien to tolerance and respect for other people's values. It is especially important when the confusion of peoples, the connection and interaction of languages, cultures have reached unprecedented levels, and the problem of raising tolerance for foreign cultures, the need to awaken interest and respect for them, and to overcome the feeling of irritation in oneself when meeting with a foreign, different culture has become more acute than ever. This is what causes the universal interest in intercultural, international communication. Intercultural dialogue is a universal way of being. Dialogue in culture is a universal way of transferring and mastering forms of social interaction, ways of knowing the world.
