Abstract

Everyone knows that in general "dialogue" has been considered a common idea among people since ancient times, and in general "dialogue of civilizations" has become a necessary and necessary act, which was determined by a number of circumstances and facts. The world in general actively uses the dialogue of cultures as a form of relations. According to Khatami, the former president of Iran, it was necessary to establish institutions of dialogue, where many books and studies would be created, academic institutions would be created, and international conferences would be held in the West and East, in the Muslim and Christian worlds. It is worth noting the fact that all the supporting UN member governments have approved this proposal and, most importantly, the scientific, human rights, academic, social and political communities have paid a lot of attention, which must be underlined. Dialogue between civilizations has become even more important in the background of the Cold War, regional wars, military and revolutionary conflicts, occupation and two world wars. As Khatami says, he did not try to explain the philosophical and theoretical basis of the dialogue of civilizations, as much as he said that the prevailing paradigm and model of relations in today's world, especially in the twenty-first century, is very dangerous. In our society, in addition to the dialogue of civilizations, there is a theory of "clash of civilizations", the main idea of which is the idea that people's cultural and religious identity will be the main source of conflict in the post-Cold War world. American political scientist Samuel P. Huntington argued that the future wars should not be between countries, but between cultures. It should be noted that the reality of the conflict of civilizations is equally unacceptable to both Westerners and non-Westerners. Therefore, both sides tried to explain current events in a different way and offer a less confrontational vision of the future. It is important that unlike scientists, politicians replaced the topic of the conflict of civilizations with the topic of international terrorism. Some scholars also believe that international terrorism cannot be explained by religious or civilizational factors. It is much more difficult to find forms of dialogue between civilizations than forms of fighting international terrorism.
