Abstract

Poultry welfare is considered the physical and emotional state of the bird. Physical indicators include feed and water consumption, temperature index, air and pollution quality, stocking density and daily weight gain. And the emotional rate is caused by stress factors, it is bird catching, transportation and some veterinary zootechnical procedures. Based on the materials discussed above, we set out to study some measurable parameters of broilers' well-being in various storage conditions when using Witloxfleurter - a herbal supplement containing garlic, since the issue of uniform health is one of the priority areas in the world. It is worth noting that this phytosupplement is recommended by the Swedish pharmacy to increase the general health and resistance of a person in the background of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in recent years. At the same time, it has not been tested in productive animal husbandry. Thus, in fact, we are the first in the world to use this supplement on productive (farm) animals. In particular, to study  influence on broiler welfare and meat productivity. To achieve the set goals, we compiled a research scheme as a result of the analysis of literary sources and researches in other countries of the world. A minimum of 0.5% and an average of 1.5% of garlic powder were selected for the dosage of the phytosupplement to be administered. Since the content of garlic in phytosupplement vitlöksflörter is 43%, in the case of 0.5% there was an addition of 11.76 grams per 1 kilogram, and in the case of 1.5% - 36.14 g / kg. 150 Ross 308 broiler chicks were selected for the study, which was divided into three groups of 50 wings each. Based on the average slaughter age in Sweden, the duration of the experiment was 45 days. The first group (T) was the control group, and the second (T1) and the third (T2) were the experimental group. Planned studies are being successfully conducted, obtained data will be processed using biometric statistics methods and will be published in the following publications.
