The interest of the mass media, particularly television, in education issues in the South Caucasus countries (review of scientific articles)

Since the media is considered to be the force that can influence public opinion, it is interesting to allocate improper time to education issues in the air network and the scarce number of educational programs what type of cause and effect is related to the public awareness and world view of the South Caucasus countries. The nine scientific articles below address the level of interest in educational issues, either from the mass media or from scientists or researchers. The conversation goes to the interconnection of education, mass media, the internet (as a new tool for finding information). The authors talk about the mutual influence of the above-mentioned components in their works, noting the factors due to which new knowledge is not/cannot be offered to the general public in the form of a high-quality media product. In studies already conducted, Mass Communications Media, in particular television, are considered as a powerful tool through which progressive processes in learning and learning can be obtained. Much attention is also paid to new media and its overuse in the educational process. The analysis highlights the counterbalance of new media and television, names their strengths and weaknesses and provides recommendations on which cases the media in general can become a support force for the consumer and a source of knowledge.  All nine scientific articles include the problem of insufficient provision of cognitive/educational information to the audience, the problem of improper, excessive use of the internet and television, the problem of improper promotion of cognitive media-products by mass communications means. All this, according to researchers, leads to a delay in the development of society's mental abilities, suppression of analytical skills and a decrease in general education.
