Abstract

Palliative care tactics should be designed to assess bothquality of life and predict possible life expectancy. The arti-cle discusses the modern modification of the possible lifeexpectancy scale. The choice of palliative care tactics shouldunconditionally depend on the expected prognosis of thepatient’s possible life expectancy and not only on the desireof the patient and his family members, but also on the ex-pected complications and side effects caused by specifictreatment.
