Publishing Ethics
It is necessary for all subjects involved in publishing to agree on ethical norms. The international scientific journal “SociopolitoLOGOS” recognizes and respects the rules of ethics. The Code of Publishing Ethics fully shares the publishing principles and practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which is based on the best practice principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics. https://publicationethics.org/).
Articles submitted to the journal must be original and unpublished, and must not be simultaneously in the evaluation process or under editorial obligations with any other publication.
General
- The Code of Publishing Ethics defines the ethical norms and rules of conduct of the publisher, editorial board, editors, reviewers and authors of the journal “SociopolitoLOGOS”. Its goal is to establish trust in the society of the journal “SociopolitoLOGOS” based on moral responsibility towards highly qualified scientific publications.
- The Code of Publishing Ethics is based on the principles of fairness, objectivity, confidentiality and transparency.
Editors and the editorial board - make decisions regarding articles to be published in the journal. Scientific reviewers are also involved in the decision-making process, who must ensure the objectivity of the article review process.
Duties of Editors and Editorial Board
Integrity
Editors and the editorial board must perform their work in good faith, which leads to gaining the trust of the user.
Confidentiality
Editors and the editorial board must protect the confidentiality of the article and communication with the author.
Conflict of interest
Editors and members of the editorial board are obliged not to use the author's ideas and research results for personal gain.
Publishing decisions
The journal editors, together with the editorial board, make the final decision on the publication of articles.
The editors and the editorial board ensure that articles are sent to at least two reviewers (experts in the field).
The editors send the reviewer's comments and remarks to the author, without disclosing the reviewer's identity.
In case of serious shortcomings in the article, an immediate response will be made, which may lead to its cancellation.
The editorial board protects the anonymity of reviewers.
Other provisions
- In case of a violation found in a work published in the journal, any person may apply to the editors-in-chief of the journal and request an investigation of the issue and appropriate response.
- The editors must consider such a request within a reasonable time together with the editorial board and inform the applicant of a reasoned response.
