Abstract

In 2022-2023, the intensive spread of monkeypox began in the world. Currently, cases of the disease are recorded in 115 countries, where the number of cases consisted of 90,439 people, of which 157 died. The disease spread especially widely on the continents of America and Europe. Cases of the disease have also been identified in Georgia, which makes the disease relevant for this country. Based on the above, it is necessary to inform the medical staff about the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of the disease, as well as about preventive measures. It is also necessary to inform the population about this actual disease.
