Abstract

The article provides a comparative analysis of the occupational health and safety of nurses in Georgia and Poland, which is based on Labor Code of Georgia, the Organic Law on Occupational Health and Safety, the Polish Labor Code, date published by the National Labor Inspectorate and government departments, date from the national statistical offices of the mentioned states and reports from international organizations. The research found that the shortage of nursing staff in Georgia is caused by a complex of factors, among the most important are low pay, great responsibility, physical and psychological strain while work and inefficient distribution of working hours.
