ჩვენმა კვლევამ აჩვენა, რომ კრონის დაავადება აქტიურად მიმდინარეობს პედიატრიულ ასაკში. ჩვენ მიერ შესწავლილ პაციენტებში, რომლებსაც დასჭირდათ ქირურგიული ჩარევა, დაავადებას თან ახლდა სხვადასხვა ექსტრაინტენსტინური კლინიკური გამოვლინება. პედიატრიული კრონის დაავადების სიმწვავის მაღალი ქულა, მონრეალის კლასიფიკაციით პაციენტთა შეფასება (ALB სხვადასხვა ვარიანტი) და ლემანის ინდექსის მაღალი მაჩვენებელი მიუთითებს დაავადების შედარებით უფრო მძიმე მიმდინარეობაზე და მოითხოვს მკურნალობის ზედმიწევნით განხორციელებას. მსუბუქად მიმდინარე დაავადების მქონე პაციენტებში მკურნალობის ძირითადი ხაზი გახლდათ პრედნიზოლონი, ხოლო მძიმედ მიმდინარე დაავადების მქონე პაციენტებში ინფლიქსიმაბი.
