Abstract

Lichen planus (LP) is recognized as an immune-mediated disease, often triggered by viral infections. The connection between viral pathogens and LP has been studied extensively, revealing a complex interaction between viruses and immune responses. HPV and EBV have been detected in LP lesions, and their presence suggests that viral reactivation may contribute to the inflammatory process associated with LP.
