DRY RED WINE OF THE “SAPERAVI” VARIETY IN THE PREVENTION OF CORONARY HEART DISEASE

The purpose of the work was to study the effect of dry red wine of the Saperavi variety on the risk of developing coronary heart disease in three different groups: Ι. Those who drank only the mentioned red wine gradually, from 100 to 300 grams per day. II. Those who excessively and frequently consumed any alcoholic beverages and ΙΙΙ. Who doesn't drink alcohol at all.
Our conclusions regarding the article are as follows: 1. Moderate and regular consumption of dry red wine of the Saperavi variety (100-300 grams) maintains cholesterol and lipoprotein levels at normal levels in 76% of consumers. 2. Drinking from 100 to 300 grams of dry red wine of the Saperavi variety per day reduces the risk of developing coronary heart disease by four times compared to the group that consumed all types of alcoholic beverages excessively and frequently, and had a lower risk of two times the risk compared with a group that did not drink alcoholic beverages at all.
