The Question of the functions and use of the conjunction “and” has been reised repeatedly in Georgian Linguistic.
The conjunction “and” is not only distinguished by its frequency of use, but also its syntactic-semantic and intonational parametrs are more interesting; in particular, the main function of “and” is syntactic-semantic connection of the components of a sentence; It is primarily a connection conjunction, rarely a subordinating conjunction, and even more rarely a conjunction. Considering various functions, we will discuss the syntactic-semantic and intonational parametrs of the conjunction ‘and” in the prose langusge of Otia Ioseliani.
