The article analyzes the influence of heredity on career choice in the context of Leopold Szondi's theory of fate analysis and Martin Achtnich's "Photographic Test of Professions" method. The main focus is on the hypothesis that professional preferences may be genetically predetermined and reflect the unrealized aspirations of ancestors. The key concepts of fate analysis and the idea of genotropism, which suggest that unconscious genetic impulses play an important role in career self-determination, are discussed.
The article also examines alternative perspectives that highlight the significance of neuroplasticity and social factors, which can modify genetic predispositions. Additionally, it presents Martin Achtnich's method aimed at diagnosing professional inclinations through the analysis of emotional reactions to images of various professions. The study is based on empirical data and explores the interaction of genetic factors with the environment, emphasizing that an understanding of one's hereditary tendencies leads to a more conscious and successful career choice.
