The article is devoted to the study of linguistic and prosodic features of deceptive speech. Lying is a complex phenomenon and it is difficult to detect deception. Only trained people with special knowledge can predict deception In order to avoid being victims of somebody’’s les, one should know much about its peculiarities. Pheonomenon of Lying is well investigated in psychology and linguistics. Many scientific papers study verbal, prosodic or accoustic signsof lyng. The present article is based on the analysis of the theoretical material.
