Abstract

It has been a long time since there has been a demand in Georgian science to create a symphony dictionary of this or that writer. Symphony-dictionary is a dictionary in which the vocabulary of this or that writer or any individual works is fully listed. Such a dictionary is called a symphonic dictionary.

Compliting a writer’s Symphony-dictionary is a very time-consuming and actively used work for scientists, which enriches the lexical fund of the language and does not allow a single word to be lost or forgotten.

A special place among Georgian writers  has Otia Ioseliani with his rich lexical corpus, abundant gallery of synonyms, abundance of idioms and phrazes, inexhaostible dialectological concepts. The basis of ther original words-sayings presented in the artistic works of Otia Ioseliani is precisely the dialect vocabulary, sometimes also the georgian language material.

Otia Ioseliani is the author of 910 works: novels, stories, plays, poems. All these works were processed using the presented method.
