Parents are considered one of the important links of the school community. The role of parents, their active involvement is important especially for pupils with special educational needs, being in a supportive position helps pupils better see their own abilities, transform their weak points into strong ones and most importantly, improve the quality of learning.
We studied several pupils with special educational needs. In the process of the research, we focused in the involvement of the parents of the pupils of SSSM. Diagnosting consists of several stages: questionnaire with teachers, in-depth interview with parents and diagnosis of pupils in Georgian language.
As a result of the research, 2 problems were identified: difficulty in communication between parents and teachers and difficulty in reading among pupils. Based on the results, we planned and implemented interventions. We implemented interventions in 2 directions: for parents and pupils.
By implementing the intervention, we achieved a certain result: parental involvememnt increased and difficulties in reading decreased.
