Chronological variability of the French language

Abstract

        The article describes the main stages of the formation and development of the French language. The issues of stylistic, social and territorial variability of the French langusge in diachrony through the prism of lexical diversity are considered. An assumption is made about the possibility of identifying chronological variants of the French language.
