About Modern Methods of Georgian Language Teaching

Abstract

The 20s of the previous centeსry for Georgian school were the era of great novelty. This was the period of fascination and overstated with foreign methods. This was the only reason why in the process of language teaching wasn't taken into consideration the specificity of target languages. We do not consider it inappropriate to blindly copy language teaching methods from other languages. When teaching a language, we must take into account two factors: which language it is (native, second, foreign) and the principles of orthography of target language. Today, the path traveled by the Georgian school a long time ago is often covered with "modern methods"; Methods that our school has already tried and rejected.
