Determining the share of use of freight wagons and selecting intensive technologies to increase their productivity

Abstract

The article analyzes the structure, types and characters of freight flows moving on the Georgian Railway; the capacity of each type of cargo flow has been determined; the percentage shares of different types of cars in transportation are established. Priority types of cars have been identified, the productivity of which can be increased under the conditions of the Georgian Railway; measures to improve productivity have been selected.
