პერი და პოსტოპერაციული ტკივილის მართვა დღემდე რჩება მწვავე პრობლემად. ტკივილის სიძლიერე დამოკიდებულია სხვდასხვა ობიექტურ და სუბიექტურ ფაქტორებზე, პაციენტის ინდივიდუალურ თავისებურებებზე. მწვავე პოსტოპერაციული ტკივილის მიმდინარება და სიმძიმე განაპირობებს ქრონიკული პოსტოპერაციული ტკივილის აღმოცენების ალბათობას.შემდეგ. მულტიმოდალური ანალგეზია არის - პერიფერიულ და/ან ცენტრალურ ნერვულ სისტემაზე, განსხვავებული მოქმედების მექანიზმის მქონე მედიკამენტებითა და ტექნიკით ზემოქმედება(მათ შორის არაფარმაკოლოგიურ ტექნიკასთან ერთად), სინერგიული და ადიტიური ეფექტით, რომლითაც შესაძლებელი იქნება მეტად მაღალი ხარისხის ანალგეზიის მიღწევა, ვიდრე ამ მეთოდების ცალ-ცალკე გამოყენებით. მედიკამენტების დაბალი დოზებით გამოყენება, დოზადამოკიდებული გვერდითი მოქმედებების თავიდან ასაცილებლად. ანალგეტიკების ფრაქციონირება პერიოპერაციული პერიოდის ყველა ეტაპზე.პოსტოპერაციული ტკივილის პრევენცია უნდა დაიწყოს ოპერაციული მკურნალობის დაგეგმვისთანავე. ექიმთა მულტიდისცილინურმა ჯგუფმა, პაციენტის მდგომარეობის და რისკ ფაქტორების შეფასების შემდეგ გაკეთებული დასკვნის საფუძველზე, შეადგინოს ტკივილის დაყუჩების პერიოპერაციული გეგმა. დღეისათვის მსოფლიო ლიტერატურაში ცალსახად პრიორიტეტულად და ყველაზე ეფექტურად ითვლება მულტიმოდალური გაუტკივარება.
